"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples"
Authorities give permission for a reason. Concerts are events, where otherwise dissonant people come into agreement at one juncture point, the music they enjoy. A ticket provides everyone entry. For a limited few, there may even be a backstage pass or an "All Access", which gives the attendee to go everywhere the band may go. We come together in Christ.
An invitation by the head of a multinational corporation to enter the corporate headquarters allows one to go where others are not allowed to go. The head of a government may have a cabinet or advisers that have clearance to top secret documents and policy meetings that shape the destiny of millions. Sports teams provide coaching, equipment, work outs, and strategies that are unavailable to those outside the team. How much more in the Kingdom of God?
Jesus has all authority, therefore He has assembled His disciples and authorized the greatest use of God's power to accomplish the purposes of The Almighty on the earth. We have an all access pass. We are allowed anywhere we need to go. We are given top secret information. We are equipped by the Holy Spirit to hear and obey the voice of God, as well as to overcome all opposition to the will of God.
Our communion together is not about a warm afterglow of the Lord's Table, but in the camaraderie of an elite covenant people launched by Christ into the world around us. "All authority is mine," Jesus says, "so there is nothing that can stop you from demonstrating the Kingdom of God, showing my love, and preaching the Gospel throughout the earth!"
Your communion in Christ can bring life to the world so make full use of your all access pass to your God.
"Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. (17) When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. (18) And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. (19) Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (20) teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. -Matthew 28:16-20 NKJV
