"Let each of you speak truth with his neighbor"
Our communion is what makes us unique. To be a new creation in Christ is to be part of a "new man" and "members of one another" as a right now state of existence, and not a distant promise. Wearing our eternal insides on our mortal outsides is about deliberating behaving as who we actually are.
We do not keep Christ to ourselves, but within and among ourselves. Wearing clothing is a visible choice with what you want others to see. Choose to be clothed with the resurrected Christ. Conform to the new man you are in Christ, even as you abandon the old man you used to be. To connect Christ within us and Christ between us we clothe ourselves with Him.
The testimony of Christ is His Gospel. The testimony of the Body of Christ in our union together in His Gospel. Oddly enough, so many disciples allow the devil to hinder them from walking as the new man. Jesus is not seen from within us and is not experienced among us, when we deny the heart of the new person we are in favor of old bondages and attachments to a fading world.
You are to intentionally be a new creation in Christ and connect to the Body of Christ. Our communion in Jesus Christ cannot be expressed through a soul unwilling to walk in the newness of life. You did not recreate yourself nor did you fashion the Body of Christ, but you are choosing daily whether or not to participate in both.
Embrace your eternal self. If you have received Christ, then put on Christ. Don't pretend to be part of the world by acting like you used to when you blindly served it. You are a firstborn son of God in the Firstborn Son of God. You are free to live and love, to be pure and bring wholeness. You were forged in the perfection of the Lamb of God Himself. Speak the truth: you are a new creation in Christ.
that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, (23) and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, (24) and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (25) Therefore, putting away lying, "LET EACH ONE OF YOU SPEAK TRUTH WITH HIS NEIGHBOR," for we are members of one another. (26) "BE ANGRY, AND DO NOT SIN": do not let the sun go down on your wrath, (27) nor give place to the devil." -Ephesians 4:22-27 NKJV
